Parents, this class is for your child if you feel that kids need more creative experiences!
The focus at Yellow Brick Road Studio is on creativity, fun and enhancing art skills! I also focus on an exploration of various materials and techniques.
An 8-week session:

$250 (includes materials fee)

This Winter in Art Club, the session is called The Puppet Project. The students will get to design and make at least one very detailed hand puppet using the following techniques: working with foam, hand-sewing, painting fabric, and adding embellishments like buttons, yarn, charms, feathers, eyes, etc. As time permits, they may also be making some smaller puppets as well so they can learn the different types. The history of puppetry will be sprinkled in throughout the weeks. Along the way, the children will be using their creativity to create their puppet's character, assigning it attributes, a personality and a voice. Mini scripts might even be created. This session is sure to provide several different avenues for creative discovery!
8 spots only! You are all set once you have paid AND filled out this registration form. These are 2 separate actions. Must have 5 for the class to run. If there are not 5 by the registration DEADLINE of 1/25 and you have already registered you will, of course, get a full refund.
Be sure to text 703-928-2291 if your child will need to miss a class. Please do not send if your child has had fever or vomiting in the last 24 hours.

Please drop off outside when you see the instructor at the door. After class, she will bring the students to the door and send them out as they see their parents' car out front. (On the first day, you are more than welcome to come in and see the studio!)
