And, we are super excited to welcome back another of our new and extremely talented instructors, Kerry Molina. Her Collage with Kerry workshop (pictured below) on Saturday, April 29, is an adaptation of the full-size banner she created for the Manassas Art Walk. You MUST stop into the shop to see this sample up close - it will take your breath away! You are going to want to make one to grace your home - and Kerry's classes are a ton of fun. My daughter took the Fairy class this summer. It was fabulous! The studio was set up so beautifully for the girls complete with place cards for each of them. So special! The entire way home Kate went on and on about the activities and what she learned about fairies. She made an adorable fairy house that she was so proud of. When we got home, she was so inspired, she made a fairy village outside on the deck complete with a tea cup swimming pool because "fairies like water, Mommy". Thank you Kerry for a wonderful class! Your love for art definitely is felt by your students. Can't wait to take more classes! ~Jill R.
My friends and I just had the most fun evening thanks to Kerry! The theme for the evening was Van Gogh, and it was the perfect combination of fun, learning, and exploring the hidden artist that is definitely in all of us! We all left with a sense of accomplishment, and a lovely piece of original, one-of-a-kind artwork! ~Renee B.
Kerry, we had such a great time being "Very Van Gogh" artists last night. I honestly thought I knew about Van Gogh as an artist, I had no idea he painted the quantity of paintings, nor did I fully understand his life--GREAT art lesson. Now on to the actual painting: how fun was that??? Your pointers were really helpful and I loved how each person's perspective was so different and unique. Especially fascinating to me were those who said, "I can't draw a stick figure"--and are artists now! It was such a fun girls' night and you certainly fit right in with our crazy group! You're a natural! Thanks for such a delightful evening at Yellow Brick Studio! You're awesome!!

I worked with Kerry for a year and saw firsthand how inspirational she was to the students at the school, including my own daughter. The students were always overly excited on "art day!" With each lesson, they learned the history of the style of the art project they were about to begin, how to express themselves in their own way, and that mistakes are works of art too. The quality of artwork that my 5 year old achieved under Kerry's guidance was absolutely amazing. Whether it was painting like Van Gogh, or using a variety of mediums from newspapers to acrylics, oil pastels to natural items, the children always came out of art class with boosted confidence and big smiles. I look forward to having my daughters learn more about art from Kerry; we can do art at home, but the creativity, artistic nature and art history knowledge that Kerry provides is untouchable. ~Rana Q.
I absolutely loved my Ladies Nite Art with Kerry. I never considered myself an artist yet my finished product was something I was so pleased with I framed it and hung it up with a picture my mother painted many years ago when I was a young girl. Kerry even inspired me to buy an artist pad and do some drawing for fun. I highly recommend one of these evenings for you and your girlfriends.
